We continue looking back at 1991 this week as we celebrate 30 years of shoegaze by featuring Spacemen 3’s Recurring as the album of the week.
Released in February 1991 the album was to be the last under the Spacemen 3 name, at this point Jason and Sonic had started recording separately with the album divided down the middle.
Slowdive played Norwich on February 11th 1991 at the Arts Centre and we briefly discuss their feature in the NME from the gig.
There’s a John Peel session track recorded in 2000 and Revolver are live at London’s Town & Country Club recorded in 1992.
There’s also tracks on the show from Mogwai, Psychic TV, 120 Days, Speed Stick and The Reds, The Pinks & The Purples.
