Radio show – The post-rock hour

Post-rock is a name to described music that is played with rock instruments in an experimental way.

The term wasn’t created until 1994 when journalist Simon Reynolds wrote a review of the Bark Psychosis album Hex in Melody Maker.

Over the years bands have tried to distance themselves from the term ‘post-rock’ just like many of the shoegaze bands did.

This show features some of the main players, expect to hear tunes from 65daysofstatic, Talk Talk, I Like Trains, Sennen, Sigur Ros, Bark Psychosis, Mogwai, Slint, God Is An Astronaut, Mono, Explosions In The Sky and Jesu.
