Radio Show – 8th July 2020

Another week, another show and on this one we celebrate Adorable’s debut album from 1993.

Against Perfection was the right album released at the wrong time to be successful, too late to be part of the Shoegaze scene and too early (and too good) for Britpop! Netherless it’s a great album that sounds even better today than when it was released.

You can read more about Against Perfection with a piece Pete from the band wrote for me several years ago about the album.

Also on the show this week we play a track by The Chameleons taken from their 1984 Peel Session. There’s a live track from Dean Wareham recorded in 2013 where he covers Joy Division’s Ceremony.

You’ll also hear new releases from The Radio Dept and Washed Out alongside tracks from The Vacant Lots, Swallow, Birdstriking, DIIV, Airiel and The Lilys.
