26th November 2000 was the date I first launched the www.creation-records.com website. The month before there were two books and a compilation album on the subject of Creation Records released but there was still very little information about the music online.
The legacy Creation left is probably bigger now than it was in 2000. Back then people thought I was crazy when I stated how amazing Souvlaki by Slowdive is, now critics and fans agree it’s an incredible album.
Therefore it seems right that I dedicate a show this week to Creation Records.
I know it sounds a cliche but this has been the hardest show I’ve put together, I picked out the records that I love and what made the label so special but I could have played so many more tunes.
