Back in January 1992 the NME ran a front cover featuring LFO called Don’t Fear The Bleeper. The cover showed the band smashing up guitars and highlighted a big move for the paper. Although it had covered acid house and hip-hop in the recent years the focus had very much been on bands with guitars the previous year with shoegaze, madchester and grunge.
Shoegaze was also to evolve with the times in the future as more artists embraced different ways of writing and recording away from the traditional band set-up. This show focuses on the electronic aspects of shoegaze that came later.
Expect to hear tracks in this show from M83, Ricardo Tobar, Pye Corner Audio, Boards of Canada, Daniel Avery, Ulrich Schnauss, Glok, The Field, TVAM, HAAi and Death In Vegas.
